A Smaller Writing Tool With a Clear Responsibility
The Notepad App is an independent browser writing project maintained by Muhammad Bin Habib. It is designed for quick drafts, organized local notes, and focused text work without an account.
What the Product Is Built to Do
The editor opens directly in the browser and provides multiple notes, folders, tags, formatting, search, version history, and portable downloads. The accompanying tools handle specific jobs such as counting words, removing duplicate lines, formatting text, planning meetings, and building checklists.
The current public release stores note content in the browser profile where it was created. It does not provide account-based synchronization or collaborative editing. Important work should be downloaded or included in a notebook backup before browser data is cleared or a device is replaced.
Honest Boundaries
Product pages explain what local browser storage can and cannot protect. The site does not present local storage as a replacement for a durable backup.
Portable Work
Notes and tool results can leave the browser through text, Markdown, JSON, print, or copy actions appropriate to each tool.
How Guides Are Written and Maintained
Product documentation is checked against the current public build. Editorial guides distinguish between local browser notes, downloaded files, installed applications, and cloud services instead of treating every writing tool as interchangeable.
Articles are updated when product behavior changes or when a clearer source becomes available. Technical claims should link to primary documentation where possible. Comparisons are intended to explain tradeoffs, not manufacture a universal winner.
