Plain-language privacy details for a local-first notepad. Your notes and tool data stay in this browser; this release has no accounts, cloud sync, AI processing, or behavioral analytics.
Short Version
The Notepad App is a local-first writing tool. Notes, pages, macros, tool data, and preferences are stored in your browser on your device. The current release does not send that content to our servers or to an AI provider.
What Stays in Your Browser
Notes, page data, tool settings, macros, habit grids, list items, and preferences may be saved in browser storage so the app can remember your work on the same browser and device.
No Account or Cloud Database
This release has no sign-in, account creation, private cloud storage, or cross-device sync. Your local content is not copied to Firebase or another application database.
No AI Processing
This release has no AI writing actions. Note content is not sent to OpenAI or another AI provider. We will update this policy before any AI feature is made available.
Website Hosting and Fonts
Our hosting provider serves the website files and may process standard request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, and time for delivery, reliability, and security logs. Google may receive similar request information when your browser loads the site's font files from Google Fonts. The app does not include behavioral analytics in this release.
Your Controls
You can export notes and supported tool data to files you control. You can remove local data through the app where controls are provided or by clearing this site's browser data.
Contact Messages
The contact form opens your email application and does not submit a message to this website. Your chosen email provider processes any message you decide to send.
